Hello all,

It has been awhile since I have been active, and now I am looking at relocation and my need to give up on finishing my ev914 project.  I am wondering if anyone is interested in a great deal.  I have two 914s one is just about ready to strip and paint all rust has been repaired, the other will start and run.  My intent was to convert the one and restore the other.  I also have the complete Azure setup AC24LS with controller and control harness as well as the electro adapter plate and most of the other parts like heavy duty springs and new rubber for doors and windows etc.  My hope was to get back at the this summer, but I am being offered a position I can't turndown.  But I will not have space for all my projects.  I am located near Sacramento CA and I am willing to make a super deal.  If anyone is interested and wants more information please contact me.

I'm interested in the heavy duty springs.

Let's make a deal.

I am not ready to part it out yet, because if I can’t sell all of it I may investigate cost to move all of it.  At least the one I was going to convert.  But I will let you know.  I have about two weeks to decide.

OK. I can send you my wish list if you decide to part it out.

Hello,  I live in Bolinas (30 miles north of the Goldern Gate Bridge on Highway 1) and am attempting to complete a 914 conversion with a Electro Automotive AC kit.  The kit came with an Azure Dynamics DMOC-445 controller.  I started with a rusted out 914 (mistake #1) and at some point gave up “restoration” and gutted to car, including the original wiring, looking for a sunny day lightest possible vehicle.  I am an old “hot rod” kind of guy.  This approach lead me on a path where most of the wiring was done following wiring diagrams I got from several sources.  I have completed the wiring and have the car loaded with 18 – 8 volt batteries but can’t get the motor the power up and spin.  I have 150 volts to the input of the controller but no ac output.  Finally, I am looking for some who is knowledgeable with the interface (35 pin connector) who might guide me through testing and understanding where my trouble originates.  If you know of someone with these skills would you please pass along this message or respond.  Thanks for listening.  Phil Binley

Phil – Do you have the manuals for the DMOC and the PC application program that allows you to see what is going on in the DMOC?

I have the manuals which I got from their web site.  I don’t have the software and not sure how to obtain.  I am not sure the car wiring matches the “Interface Kit” drawing.  Fore instance, pins 29, 18 and 19 show a “forward and reverse” switch which I don’t have.  Thank for you help.  Phil

Hi James,

Pin 29 (forward) and pin 19 (ground) need to be connected to a neutral start mechanism.

Testing the system: For the DMOC to close it's contactor the DMOC requires pin 29 to be disconnected from pin 19, then once the contactor is closed the DMOC will require pin 29 to be connected to pin 19 (connect pin 19 and pin 29 to provide a forward request) before the DMOC will power the motor.

Hope this helps,

Gary Snyder

Hi and thank you!  Question:  did the software come in a separate message or as an attachment?  Phil

I downloaded it a couple years ago from the AzureDynamics website.  I sent it to you as a zip attachment directly to your yahoo account.
