Urbit OS 412k is targeted for release on ~2023.9.25. This major kelvin release has the following highlights:
%lick, a vane for opening a IPC socket to Earth. In pre-release testing this vane has been used to control IOT devices and building a snake game.
The open %eyre. Every unauthenticated HTTP request to your urbit is now a comet, allowing them to poke and subscribe to Urbit applications without having to write annoying HTTP plumbing.
Eauth allows people to log in with their own identities on HTTP endpoints served by any ship. An example use case for this functionality would be a comments section on a blog served to the clearweb.
A vere release that declares compatibility with 412k is imminent, all users should upgrade as soon as possible.
