Hi everyone,

I'm trying to port OpenRAM to a new technology and I'm confused what the
meaning of

parameter["min_tx_size"]
parameter["beta"]

is. Can anyone help?

Cheers,

Bastian

Hi Bastian,

Beta is the ratio of PMOS to NMOS size so that they have equal drive/resistance.

min_tx_size is the minimum transistor width. In the example technologies, this is the minimum contacted width to simplify layout and not require "dog bone" type transistors.

Make sure you are updated, I have been making a few updates relating to technology. Some of the were pushed a week or so ago.

Best regards,
Matt

Thank you for your quick help. I digged myself and found the answers in
the OpenRAM manual [1]. Maybe it's a good idea to link that in the
README.md.

Oh thanks. Yes, I'm on an older version.

Cheers,

Bastian
