GFW Webhook Issues

Hi All,

Has anyone had trouble with the GFW webhooks on the GFW end? The box to enter the webhook URL does not exist for me anymore. Am I doing something wrong here?

Yes, this has been a recurrent issue with no clear path to resolution.  EarthRanger also had the same issue.  With EarthRanger are working on a solution that would make GFW data available through SMART Integrate with SMART 7.  This also includes some cool enhancements e.g. aggregating alerts into hotspots for locations where there are a high volume of alerts.

You’ll be able to bring in alerts as independent incidents, then report on them from there.

That sounds good, I can't wait to see SMART 7!

Bringing this discussion much further, will the SMART development team be able to get automatically tabular data for all these GLAD alerts and Fire alerts from either NASA or GFW websites and show them in SMART desktop or SMART connect? That is saving us a lot of time compiling those data in a table elsewhere before importing them into SMART.

The GFW webhooks have been problematic. 

 

With SMART 7 and the new SMART Integrate we have a more robust solution.  If you are ready to upgrade to SMART 7 and want to evaluate this, please let us know.
