Cannot approve manual task as approval buttons are inactive. The task shows black dot.(cancelled or outdated)

I have a process in which the user when logged in to approve a manual task(intended for him) has the approval buttons disabled. So he cannot approve the task. I confirmed that the user is in that particular lane.

when I checked the process instance(refer attachment) I found that the manual task for that user had a black dot(cancelled or outdated) instead of orange dot(waiting). Why is it showing black? What is cancelled or outdated process?
Are the approval buttons not active because of this?

I also checked that there is another instance of the same process which is approved by the same above user in the same lane. This process has ended successfully (no black dots on any task) while the above mentioned process is showing in waiting state.

Hi Shailesh,

You have used the timer on the task, the task is cancelled if not action is taken on the task as per the timer configuration. Once the timer is triggered on this task. And next task is assigned, as per your configuration it is "Escallation of Credit Analyst"
