We had an issue yesterday where a process failed due to unable to send an email:
Task "Email xxx" (id: 96[0] - status: ACTIVE): Internal Server Error (500) - 535 5.7.3 Authentication unsuccessful (1 attempt)

I believe it was due to a short brief period where our email server was down.

How many times does RMP try to send an email before it gives up and fails a process?
Is there any way to configure it to not fail a process just because an email can't be sent?

Thanks,

Nicolas Triballier

Hi Teddy,

we retry when we get a timeout. Here you got an error 500 so we won't retry.
You could split email notification and manual task, and configure an error handler on the email activity, that would skip to the next activity if email notification crashes.
