My electrical engineer son installed McAfee on my Lenovo laptop just about a year ago, and My subscription will expire in 29 days.
I have not been impressed with the accessibility of McAfee. I am thinking that someone on this list might be able to share his/her experience with NVDA and a virus protection application or suite of applications.
I am mostly interested in accessibility and scope of protection. Cost is not as significant an issue.
If you have ever had a computer infected by a virus, you will know what I mean.
Thanks much!!

Windows Defender is all I have ever used and our computer repair shop here that we use recommends only using Microsoft Defender.

It is very accessible and built in, so no cost.

In my experience, McAfee

Is a resource hog and a royal pain …

It also takes a lot of work to get rid of it.

Go back to Windows Defender. It has very good test results and should
give you good protection.

In general, user caution, following the standard rules such as not to
open unknown attachments, and using an ad blocker to protect you from
malicious advertising, which may be on even reputable sites, should
combine to give you good protection.

Windows Defender. Ages ago, Vipre was really good too, but I haven’t used that in ages.

Should you buy an antivirus or does Defender protect you?
