one question concerning selection when using NVDA.

Good evening all from Lebanon!

Different from other screen-readers, when pressing shift+cursor down
several times, NVDA selects all what is to be selected depending on the
presses but without announcing select with every press as most of the
screen-readers. Is there a way to fore this software to announce the
word select with every press?

Where is this not working for you? Whis OS and software?
Using NVDA 2025.3 under Windows 11 24H2 (OS Build 26100.6584) and reading your email in Outlook 365 classic I tested this by pressing shift and down arrow for each line of your email.
I am using Code Factory Eloquence.
In this setup NVDA reads every line of your email again with the announcement selected following the reading of the line. This is the behaviour I expected. Is this not happening for you?

Good afternoon David from Lebanon!

It seems that you either didn't understand my mail or I didn't express
myself properly when composing it. I never told that the selection
process is not working but the word select isn't announced. I'm using
Microsoft Windows Home 10 Version 22H2 (OS Build 19045.6396) and NVDA
Version 2025.3 with Tiflotecnia Voices for NVDA Synthesizer that I
bought its license recently from them which is working very good for me
as it supports Arabic language. I'm writing and replying to mails
using Sero webmail. I tried selecting lines when reading your e-mail
online today prior replying to it and the word select is announced at
the end of each selected line but say I'm in the list of mails where 50
mails are available from NVDA discussion list, I can select the 50
mails, moving them to the folder I want but in this area, the word
select isn't announced. Hope that everything became clear right now.

Yes, I can confirm this.
Also, when you copy, Control C, or paste, Control V, you also get no confirmation.
JAWS for example, will say "Copied", this is probably going to be helpful for newer users. I don't care myself, but it is a missing feature.

I think that the anouncement of copy should be discussed in a different thread. There are lots of things announced or not, and this is a specific thread, so I'll open a new one.

Good afternoon Steve from Lebanon!

I don't care either as I can manage without it is being announced or
not but I really like this value to be added either. I'm not quite
sure but I think that there are add-ons concerned with copying to the
clipboard and pasting from it but I never heard anything concerning
selection. I used today System Access software to select NVDA
discussion list mails moving them to their folder to descover that when
pressing shift+curser down, it says first select then it reads the mail
title but when pressing shift+curser up to deselect it never says deselected.

I kind of disagree, since copying or pasting is part of the selection process. When you select anything, you usually want to manipulate it.
