Doubts regarding week 1 assignment

1. In the 11th question in the graded assignment both a and b are valid answers. a cannot be considered as a invalid answer in this case since one can claim the subset of a population will represent the population.

2. In the 14th question in the graded assignment just by changing the source but not the statements how can it become descriptive and even in this question we are just taking the percentage of persons affected, its just a overview from the data and there is no data interpreted for future use.

Kindly help me in these doubts, as it would help me understand the concepts better.

Then is that safe to say that even if we perform descriptive statistics on a sample is considered as inferential? and can you please clear the other doubt.

Q.No. 11 should be removed as it can have any answer out of 3 so it has no point of argument which is correct or which is not................

Per my understanding from the lecture, descriptive and inferential statistics can be performed over population and inferential statistics over sample. Please correct me if i'm wrong.
