Enrollment Details and Mentor Addition in SPOC login of onlinecourses page

[Local Chapter Announcement Forum]

Dear SPOCs,

Enrollment for the Jan-April 2018 course semester has started.

Candidates can enroll to the courses at this link

https://onlinecourses.nptel.ac.in/explorer

Important points to be shared with Local Chapter candidates while enrolling:

1. Use a unique email id throughout the course run.

2. Choose Role as 'Student' or 'Faculty'

3. Select 'Yes' to the query - Are you a part of NPTEL Local Chapter.

4. Choose the correct Local Chapter from the drop-down list while enrolling. Else, the candidate data will be attached to another college.
5. Roll Number - Students - Enter college roll number (college id number)
    Faculty - Enter college Employee id no.

1. Candidates enrollment details

1.Login to https://onlinecourses.nptel.ac.in/explorer with your SPOC mail id

2.Click on the mail id to find the drop down and select 'Local Chapter SPOC'
This will direct you to a page where you can find all the courses listed
along with the candidates count enrolled per course.
3.Clicking on the course ids, (under the Courses Tab, top left corner) will provide the candidates who have enrolled to that particular course.

All these data can be downloaded.

You can regularly check this page to know the enrollment details of candidates fom your college.

2. Mentor Addition by SPOC:

How to add a faculty of your college as Mentor

1.Clicking on the Course ids against the course name, will provide the candidate list.

2.Last column is 'Mentor'. Select the check box to add your college faculty as

mentor to the NPTEL course.

3.Click Save

NOTE: Mentor has to mandatorily enroll to the course which she/she wants to mentor.

While enrolling, he/she has to choose the role as 'Faculty' to be added as mentor.

Last Date to add mentors for the courses starting on Jan 22nd: Jan 29th, 2018, 5pm

Last date to add mentors for the courses starting on Feb 5th: Feb 12th, 2018, 5pm
