Dear All

As an instructor, it is not only important to design the questions but evaluating the questions appropriately is also equally important. I wish to learn the evaluation scheme, especially in giving partial marks for partially correct answers, adopted in this course.

I am prompted to ask this question from the evaluation of Reflection Question in WEEK 3.

I have given options (A), (B) and (D) as the correct answers for the question no.3, however options (A) and (D) are given as correct answers and I am awarded zero mark for this.

I request the instructors to spare some time to explain the evaluation scheme.

This would helps us as a learner in this course and as an instructor in our futuristic online course.

Thanks.

Thank You Tejinder for the prompt response.

I think we should now have a separate post called 'Community Discussion Forum Moderator". :-) (And maybe we will try this in our next offering of the course, who knows)

Dear OP,

The rationale of not giving full marks to MSQs is that there is a penalty for a wrong understanding and not for partial understanding. But what I think is more important is that I see another good example of peer learning from this course where your classmate is helping you out.

Here is another small voluntary assignment for both of you. Identify another post in the forum where you can provide a solution similar to this (i.e. solution is available in an existing video or even in a discussion forum post).

Regards
Jk

Dear Sir
Learning through peer interaction is one of the finest part of this MOOC. Helping fellow learners is a great way to interact with them.
As suggested by you, I have tried to help one of my peers by providing a YouTube link to the live interaction with Prof. Sridhar Iyer sir wherein he answered the query titled 'Hours devoted on LxTs' posted by the same learner in the discussion forum.
Thank you for acknowledging my effort.

Thank You Tejinder. This is awesome. I hope many more learners will take your cue and start doing this in the next couple of weeks where learners will be doing lot of preparation for exams.

Btw, are you planning to write the exam?
