Proposing as a two-part proposal; the second is brought forward if the first one passes.
Cleanup the definition of membership. This is a mess created a decade ago when dues were temporarily removed and then returned in a weird way ("sustaining membership").

1. Members of the Party shall be exclusively those persons who have certified in writing that they oppose the initiation of force to achieve political or social goals.
2. The National Committee may offer life memberships and must honor all prior and future life memberships.
a. During the prior 12 months have donated, or have had donated on their behalf, an amount of at least $25; or
b. Are Life members.
I am new to the discussion of membership categories here, please forgive any irrelevance.
I don't expect to vote for any proposal that attaches the word "member" to anyone who has not signed the non-aggression pledge. Within those bounds, I'd be happy to assist in finding clarifying language. I would suggest perhaps donor or subscriber.
I also do not like sustaining member very much in its current definition. I have encountered that term elsewhere to mean someone making monthly payments.
Each person could be dropped in at the top of this list and fall through until an item catches them:
- life member per current definition, including signed pledge
- sustaining member = member making monthly payments of $5 or more, after their first cumulative payments equal or exceed the base dues amount ($25)
- member = paid annual dues (current), signed pledge
- former member
- donor = made donation
- newsletter subscriber, etc.
- null
