Hey folks,

It's taken some time, but we're finally ready to cut over to EasyCLA!

TL;DR:

- Majority of kinks and rough edges have been worked out 🎉

- Migration scheduled for Feb 5th, 2022 (Saturday after Enhancement freeze)

- Final sync of the old CLA database and EasyCLA will be performed the day of the migration

Since mid-November[1], we've been running the current CLA system and EasyCLA, with EasyCLA in non-blocking mode. Since then, we've worked through the large blockers and issues and are ready to cut over. This should be a non-disruptive change.

You have nothing to worry about if you currently see a passing check for cla/linuxfoundation and EasyCLA.

If you are a newer contributor and see a passing check for just cla/linuxfoundation and NOT EasyCLA, then you will likely be synced in the next scheduled bi-weekly database sync or the final sync before migration. If you want to ensure a seamless migration, you can preemptively sign EasyCLA on your next open PR.

If you are a long-time contributor and still only see a passing check for cla/linuxfoundation, please sign EasyCLA or reach out to the LF support desk for assistance[2].

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out in this thread or in the #github-management channel in slack.

Thanks!

- Bob, on behalf of the GitHub Admins
