Dear PAPI users,

The latest PAPI version, 7.0.1, is now available for download at https://bitbucket.org/icl/papi/wiki/PAPI-Releases.

This is a minor release of PAPI and the result of efforts from many people. The PAPI team would like to express special Thanks to Vince Weaver, Stephane Eranian (for libpfm4), William Cohen, Steve Kaufmann, Peinan Zhang, John Rodgers, Yamada Masahiko, Thomas Richter, and Phil Mucci.

Sincerely,
The PAPI team

Hi,

Thanks for the updated PAPI release.

I have created a Fedora rawhide build of papi-7.0.1, https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=2170338 . One of the things that caused a little pain when building it was Fedora doesn't use the libpfm bundled with papi. The bundled libpfm has a patch from the libpfm git repo that changes some of the libpfm fields that are available, but that patch isn't in an a released libpfm. For the time being the patch has been backported to the the Fedora rawhide libpfm to allow papi-7.0.1 to build. However, it would be nicer if there was a released version of libpfm that could be used to build papi-7.0.1 as that newer version of libpfm would have support for Zen4 and SapphireRapid.
