Hi ,
I am new to RISC-V  and rocket-chip , i have installed the rocketchip on my system and followed the instructions given in the github.com to generate a verilog file of the rocket chip, i was successful in generating a Default configuration of the rocket chip, but i want to configure the rocket with some other parameters as well, i don't understand where do i write my chisel code to configure the rocket chip?

Can any one help me out of this ?

If you take a look at the second email from Jonathan in this thread I think it should help you get started: https://groups.google.com/a/groups.riscv.org/forum/m/#!topic/hw-dev/BgjUcBkRJ18

Aah, I read it a bit too quickly to see that it was in fact you who asked that question - sorry. :)

But the permission denied is simply that the user running make doesn't have permission to write to one of the directories/files it tries to write to.
Unfortunately there isn't much else to do about it, other than to check ownership and permissions; 'ls -la' should show you which user/group the files belong to, and if you have write permissions (remember to also check subdirectories) then you should be good to go.
Hint: make usually tells you when it navigates to a new directory, so it should be possible to find out which ones should be checked.

I don't know how proficient you are in the ways of the Linux (so I apologize if I insult your knowledge by posting this link), but I think this tutorial gives a nice introduction to linux file system ownerships and permissions: https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/an-introduction-to-linux-permissions
