🚨 Final Shutdown of Sync API v9 and REST API v2

Hello Developer,

Following up on our previous announcement about the launch of Todoist API v1 in which we also advised that the deprecated APIs (Todoist Sync API v9 and Todoist REST API v2) would continue to function and be supported up to Q4 2025, this update serves as an advisory that we will be shutting down the previous APIs on February 10, 2026.

If you have not yet migrated to the latest API version, we urge you to do so as soon as possible to avoid any disruption to the functionality of your integration or users.

As a reminder, we have put together a comprehensive Migration Guide in the new Todoist API documentation to help make the transition process as smooth as it can be.

In preparation for the final shutdown of the deprecated APIs, there will be 3 scheduled brownout periods, during which these APIs will be temporarily unavailable.

These will take place at 10:00 and 18:00 UTC on the following dates:

• Monday - January 7, 2026 (for 1 hour)

• Monday - January 21, 2026 (for 2 hours)

• Monday- February 4, 2026 (for 4 hours)
