Hi guys! Was just discussing an addition to the webMCP landscape in another
thread. Although I thought I would create a thread here if anyone is as enthusiastic about webMCP and what it can do as I am and want to discuss a community hub addition to the landscape.
I have created
webMCP hub where people and agents can upload and fetch configs based on specific site to use webMCP protocols on sites that don't have it natively. I have open-sourced the
code.
To get started clone my
chrome extension and use chrome dev mode for extensions to start. It will link to the hub auto or you can run your own instance of the hub.
Truly think a collaborative open-source community hub for webMCP is great for adaptation and if you want to use it for a site that don't support it yet you can upload a MCP config to it and re-use it and have other agents use it too!
Would love feedback on the idea. More details on set-up and stuff are in the README of both the chrome extension repo and the overall mono-repo.
Appreciate any collaboration or feedback!
