I successfully build Chromiumn on Unbuntu 12.04.
But I do not know Howto make a package after building Chromium on Linux.
For example make .deb installation package.

Thank you.

Searching the archives of this mailing list can also help as this was asked before ;)

Please note Ubuntu does have a chromium package:

I'd recommend just using it or contributing to the Ubuntu packaging effort, instead of creating yet another package.

When I ran chrome/installer/linux/debian/build.sh got error like below.

chrome/installer/linux/debian/build.sh: line 222: /home/asus/chromium/src/out/Release/installer/common/installer.include: No such file or directory

howto I can generate src/out/Release/installer/common/installer.include ?

Thank you.

Did you figure this out?
If yes, please share the solution.

I also get the "out/Release/installer/common/installer.include: No such file or directory" message

Thanks

figured it out.

For reference:

gn args out/Release

is_component_build = true
is_debug = false
symbol_level = 0
enable_nacl = true
remove_webcore_debug_symbols = true
enable_linux_installer = true

ninja -C out/Release  "chrome/installer/linux:unstable_deb"

deb files appear in out/Release

You can pick specific targets. List of targets
ninja -t targets all | grep installer

When trying to install resulting deb file, it fails to resolve any of the dependencies. Any idea why?
Thanks a lot.

If you use 'gdebi' to install, that should handle resolving dependencies.

Maybe you should configure:
is_component_build = false
to work around your given problem.
