Dear Yaksters,

I’m considering selling my well-travelled and well-loved Air Friday. The Air Friday was (and is) a supremely comfortable road bike that I have used for touring all over the USA, the UK, the rest of Europe, and New Zealand. The titanium beam absorbs road vibrations superbly, so I’ve also used it on Brevets up to 600km.

Love to look at it and ride it if it’s not gone by my return on October 30

This bike was made for be for my 2006 End-to-End (Land’s End to John O’Groats) ride in the UK.  It’s been repainted by Green Gear. and has been given new set of wheels (I wore out the rims on the originals).

Will it fit you?    I normally ride a 52cm or 53cm conventional frame, and this bike was sized to fit me.  It’s even more adjustable than most BIke Fridays, because the Ti beam slides into and out of the frame socket, so the effective top tube length can be adjusted too.

It’s currently set up with 451 wheels and 34mm tires, which is a bit of a close call.  (It was designed for 28mm Schwalbe Tires).   Velocity A23 rims.  3 x 9 Ultegra drivetrain, except for the brifters, which are Campy Ergo levers (better for small hands)  with a JTek shiftmate.  Front generator hub and light, which also supplies USB power to charge your 'phone.   Folding rear rack.  Two sets of mudguards (fenders).  Travelcase with all the packing materials.

Please contact me directly if you are interested, so that I can answer specific questions.  I would be willing to consider selling the frameset, or the frameset and wheels, in addition to selling the whole bike as pictured.

I’m looking to get around $2200 for the whole bike, including the travel case.  I realize that this is not a “steal”, but this is a unique bike.   If you want it, or the frameset,  we can talk price.
