Hi,

I am trying to use a Xbee module to make two Arduino modules communicate
(you'd have guessed so far I suppose).

With both module in USB mode with an AT firmware, I can type things in X-CTU
and it shows up on the other's module terminal. If I keep the AT firmware and
I write things to the serial, the data still appears on the other side.

Now if I put the API firmware (« ZNET 2.5 ROUTER/END DEVICE API », version
1347), and that I test the Series2_Tx example, it keeps on flashing 2 times,
and nothing shows up on the other side's terminal.

Suggestions ?

I'll add that this is a Arduino Uno board, and that the jumpers are in Xbee
mode.

Thanks,

Hi,

What version of the software are you using?  If it's the latest from Subversion then problem solved -- use the released version in the downloads.

I think the problem may be that firmware version.  I last used ZNet 2.5 version 2941 (end device), 1941 (coordinator).  There is also ZB Pro firmware (standard ZigBee), which I use.  See this for ZB Pro http://rapplogic.blogspot.com/2009/02/xbee-zb-pro-upgrade-pin-sleep-trick.html.

Another suggestion I'll add.  If you have a USB serial board (e.g. Sparkfun USB Explorer).  You may find it easier to troubleshoot with your computer, using the Java software, before going to Arduino, since in most cases it's far easier to troubleshoot with a computer.

That was 2, to activate escaped words. It works fine now :)

Btw, the software is the one from the download page, so 0.2.1
