I have recently joined hitrecord.org.  It is an artist collaboration site.

It got me thinking about the Metasynth, ArtMatic and Voyager communities and how this may be a good place to "invade".

I uploaded all the songs in my Lucy Series - a group of instrumental pieces that explore using the Lucy scales (these scales are avaible in Metasynth).  I have tagged all the pieces with metasynth.  Anyone interested in sharing the raw Metasynth files, please go there and create an account and let me know.  It supports zip files so it should be pretty easy to share.

Looking forward to seeing others in the U&I community there.

Mike

    Hi Hans,

There is not a video tutorial available. In addition to the pdf tutorials
and extensive new pdf documentation (with a lot of example trees and
explanations), there are some additional tutorials that have been posted by
Dick Scherzinger which you can find over on the Facebook ArtMatic page (you
don't need to be a Facebook member to view them):
    http://www.facebook.com/artmatic

If you run into problem while performing a printed tutorial, please ask
for help. Please indicate the page number and name of the document, and I
will be happy to help you figure out what went wrong.

From what you describe it sounds like the camera might have been pointing
in a different direction or two tile inputs might have been swapped or
there was a rotation component that was setting differently.

The best way to understand the new features is to go through the new
documents, perform the tutorials provided, and to analyze the Artmatic
structures (and build them yourself) that are shown in the examples.

In the documents that cover the new features, I tried to provide a lot of
example ArtMatic structures with explanations and diagrams.

Also, it needs to be emphasized that the tutorials all assume that you
already have a good understanding of the way the ArtMatic structures work
and how Artmatic maps to ArtMatic Voyager -- so, if you haven't performed
the ArtMatic tutorials (especially the ones in the ArtMatic Voyager manual)
    make sure to do so.

Anyway, please ask whenever you get stuck or confused -- those questions
are the best way for us to know what the points of confusion are and help
us refine the presentation. We hope to have some video tutorials BUT it
can't be emphasized enough that such tutorials are going to tend to be
    supplementary.

    Best regards,

    Edward
