I left my MacBook Pro at work, so I wasn't able to (constructively) =
comment until now.

Monaco at 9pt is actually intentionally pixellated/blocky, so it looks =
the same on a retina vs. non-retina display.  I code in 18pt (who's =
blind now?), and the difference is painfully obvious.
