Hi Lu,

Are you using CentOS? The could be that the precompiled installer works with the most common linux distributions, but there could be some incompatibility on some specific platform.

Let me know with Linux distribution (and version) are you using and I will help you to solve the problem.

Cheers,

Hello,

Can you please post the fix with the run time error of
 t_coffee: /lib64/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.7' not found (required by t_coffee)?

Here are the linux server specs:
2.6.18-274.12.1.el5 #1 SMP Tue Nov 29 13:37:46 EST 2011 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
The download:
T-COFFEE_installer_Version_9.02.r1235_linux_x64.bin

Thanks,
Jake

The .el5 in the version string gives away that it's Red Hat Enterprise
Linux 5, or one of the downstream distros (CentOS, Scientific Linux).
Here is my CentOS 5 64-bit build/test virtual machine:

$ uname -a
Linux sbgrid-dev-vm-11 2.6.18-194.17.1.el5 #1 SMP Wed Sep 29 12:50:31 EDT 2010 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

$ /lib64/libc.so.6 | head -n 1
GNU C Library stable release version 2.5, by Roland McGrath et al.

I think Jake's next step is to build from source.
