Thank then Gov. Jeb Bush and the Republicon lead Florida legislature,
pal. They are the ones that blocked drilling off the coast of Florida,
Didn't want to spoil their picturesque views. Florida, with more
shoreline than any state but Alaska.
Your boss, Gov. Jeb Bush, has kept us from an adequate energy supply
in this country. I find it unacceptable that we have been negotiating
with one state,"
Florida insists on keeping rigs at least 100 miles off its coast.
Preferably 125..China Is going to Drill Off of Calif and Florida for
OIL . since Jeb Bush and George Bush blocked drilling off the Florida
coast.
----Rep. John Peterson, R-Pa.,
He sponsored a bill to allow natural gas drilling as close as 20 miles
from shore. Block everything within 100 miles of Florida's west coast,
he told Castille, and you block much of the eastern gulf and its
enormous potential for natural gas.
,
The oil companies hold leases on over 68 million acres. Why aren't they
producing on them?
Pelosi is as dumb as a styrofoam block. The scariest thing
to remember is that she is only two heart beats away from
the Oval Office. God help us.
But there is a better plan to help lower gas prices which you have
been viliantly advocating on this newsgroup, but, ironically, your
fascist idol Republicraps are blocking it:
Democrats have a commonsense plan to help bring down skyrocketing gas
prices by cracking down on price gouging, rolling back the billions of
dollars in taxpayer subsidies, tax breaks and royalty relief given to
big oil and gas companies, and increasing production of alternative
fuels.²
Democrats have a plan to lower gas prices.join Democrats who are
working to lower gas prices now."
Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Press Release, April 19, 2006
When will you complain to your Republicraps?
Mission accomplished, indeed. The Democrats
believe it will be to their advantage to keep gas
prices high through November. The next time you
fill up your tank thank and bless Pelosi and her
herd of Democrat morons.
Clinton is a Democrat and opposed off shore drilling.
You are obviously a Democrat liar.
There has to be oil under that leased ground to justify
drilling. Drilling is extremely expensive that's why oil
men want to drill where the oil is.
Since when are professional politician lifers more
savvy about drilling for oil than professional oil men.
Why are you lefties such morons?
Tell us what happened to prices during the 6 years when Republicans
ran everything.
Was Jeb Bush a Democrat?
Good Lord!
Some ultra leftist who want to ban guns even
more than his hero Gun Grabber McCain is
calling other people 'lefties'.
What a fucking joke!
So tell us what alternate energy is available, or will be available in
the near future that cost less and takes less energy to produce and
can give the same results as oil or fossil fuels?
Eight six percent of the simple-minded dummycrats in congress voted
against drilling. Try to get it moron.
What would help the most is for all automobiles to be battery powered,
and charged from a solar cell array mounted in people's backyards.
General Motors had this technology in the mid nineties and destroyed it.
Tesla Motors has brought it back with the Tesla Roadster, that gets 240
miles per charge, and goes from 0 to 60 in 3.9 seconds. The first cars
are expensive, $120,000, but next year they will come out with a family
car that is affordable.
> Thansk you fucking democraps!

Exxon profit soars, but misses forecasts
No. 1 U.S. oil company's profit and revenue miss estimates, even as it
posts second-largest earnings total on record.
By Steve Hargreaves, CNNMoney.com staff writer
Last Updated: May 1, 2008
NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Record oil prices netted Exxon Mobil a
$10.89 billion profit in the first three months of the year, sharply
higher than a year earlier but short of Wall Street estimates and
below what was needed to set a new all-time profit record.
The profit was still enough to be the second-highest U.S. corporate
profit on record, falling just short of the record $11.66 billion
Exxon Mobil (XOM, Fortune 500) earned in the prior quarter. The profit
in that quarter came to $1,385 a second, enough to buy nearly 382
gallons of gas at current prices.
The sheer size of the Exxon profit reported Thursday will still likely
attract attention from consumer groups and lawmakers, who have been
arguing for higher taxes on oil companies amid soaring gas and oil
prices.

Exxon shatters profit records
Oil giant makes corporate history by booking $11.7 billion in

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Exxon Mobil made history on Friday by
reporting the highest quarterly and annual profits ever for a U.S.
company, boosted in large part by soaring crude prices.
Pie in the sky!
It's not cheap, It's not available and what are you gonna do with the

That's why algae based biofuels are the right answer.

I'll type this slowly so maybe you and repug liar can understand. If
President Billyboy Clinton, a simple-minded dummycrat, had not
vetoed the ANWR proposal in 1995, we would have that oil today.
So no, drilling now won't bring the price down by November or anytime
soon, and it may not bring it down in the future as oil will be more
and more in demand, but if we had started drilling 10 years ago, that
oil would be on-line today and prices might not be as high as they
are. So let's start now for the future.
If that is still too hard for your simple-minded dummycrat brain to
grasp, get the six year old next door to read it to you and explain.
It was your hero Billyboy Clinton, a simple-minded dummycrat President
that vetoed a bill in 1995 to allow drilling in ANWR.
It is currently the simple-minded dummycrats that are voting against

without laying out the massive investment needed to turn reserves into
production ...
do the research increases in production come from increasing
production on long producing wells and small producers who can't play
the games big oil can, big oil rarely puts new fields into production
and files laws suits against small operators seeking to drill
production wells in their neighborhood
just this week a small oil company worked out an offshore deal with so
called environmentalists in SoCal ... the only law suites threatened
were from big oil who claim the small oil company is directional
drilling into fields that are too expensive for them (big oil) to
produce on
keep this in mind - there are enough fossil fuel reserves in the US in
the current mineral rights of fortune 100 companies to more than
supply all US energy needs and export some too. the big boys can drill
if they want to
legislation can make big oil put fields into production, produce on
the leases or surrender them, is your party demanding such laws? why
not?
if we simply offer new oil leases to big oil some politicians will
claim issue solved ... in reality big oil will win the high bids then
drill proving wells ... run up their stock and keep putting just
enough production flowing to keep prices up ... think about it
the only way oil prices came down in the 1980s was when Reagan talked
the Saudis into increasing production in exchange for what may be the
world's 2nd best military force
if we don't drill (meaning don't sale new oil leases) ... we're stuck
even if we increase production of non-fossil energy by a factor of 10
note the rnc says do all the above, beginning with new oil leases
note the dnc says do all the above, except new oil leases
who is served by this gridlock ... big oil, who loses ... our
disposalable income
if we don't figure a way to increase "energy" production, fossil and
non-fossil, by empowering small & mid size firms to produce such,
we're sunk ... the difficulty of this obvious solution is no future
1000 companies are currently investing in the politics of "drill" or
"no-drill". note the politics of the dnc & the rnc are not the
solution - they are the problem
this same problem exists at many levels, the dnc tax the rich, the rnc
don't tax the rich ...
the rnc has preached for years cutting taxes for thr rich will create
more investment and more jobs ... calling on Adam Smith's "wealth of
nation's" as an intellectual foundation for classical economics ...
excuse me but there was no such thing as big business in Adam's day,
for example - please domonstrate how buying Exon or Walmart or Ford
stock will create more jobs. The problem with such a policy is that it
drives money into big cap stocks not into fast growing small or mid
size companies (note the DOW goes up fatser than small stocks under
the rnc rule)
the dnc by contrasts are avdocating Keynes economics (if they admit it
or not) which suggests during hard times r amp up govenrment
spending ... under normal circumstances this can work, it did in the
1930s, the diferrence - we weren't $10 trillion in debt when FDR came
to office
solution get some 30 year 5% seed money in the hands of up and coming
movers and shakers ... the big bucks behind the dnc & rnc are
terrified of such because that would put a big dent in their
respective power bases
again big biz lobbies for rich tax cuts ... unions for no rich tax
cuts ... no other political solution offered by either wing because
there are no big dawg political machines fighting for a real solution
in short neither party is offering real solutions - just BS rhetoric
now we face the the worst long term financial challenges in US history
= most of us can't afford a new house to too much regulation AND the
debt generated by the S&L scandal and the sub prime scandal (both
scandals caused by the refusal of Bush I and Dubya tp enforce the law)
and worse, due to ridulous foriegn poicly by all 3 presidents since
Reagan we can't cut our military budget, and military spending is the
only sizeable big ticket which is even negotiable ... debt service,
SS, and MC are all long term deals which the US government agreed too
long ago - it may come down to ... depression
******
sadly what's most likely is a swing to the radical left because the
swing to the right which began back in 1980 has ended with the likes
of this Bush administration, the most far right bunch since Hoover
that swing to the left will likey bring on faggot weddings and over
regulation ... oh well ... is that any worse than war profiteering neo
nazis?
we are close to telling seniors we have no healh care for ya and we
can't send ya SS check and your savings are tied up in a house and
stocks which are worth less than you paid for them ... or telling T-
bond holders we'll pay you some of what we promised sooner or
later ...
military vulnerablity and or bankruptcy seem likely if we leave things
to the lame ass right wing or the lame ass left wing
maybe one day we will start a viable 3rd party of non-brain washed
folks who love their country more than their parties ...
unforetunately most people have lost their ability to think for
themselves and are willing to accept brand R or brand D
Why won't you answer the question of why the simple-minded dummycrats
in congress are currently voting against drilling?

No moron. I have been asking why have the republicans voted to block oil
drilling for so long. I have been asking this for some time and haven't
found one tard that can answer. You are just one more clueless simpleton so
you run like the pussy you are.

Well to begin with moron. I never claimed that land already leased has any
oil on it. Do you care to pay attention?

Is that what you read in the above post by me? Let me say it again. Both
the left and the right are voting to block drilling while the right blames
it all on the left. I never claimed that the left had a plan to lower costs.
The costs will never go down more than a small amount over time. There is no
need to drill for more oil because that will not lower prices. There is
plenty of world oil that can be supplied to the end user. The speculators
need to pay higher taxes on their profits from investments. More deals need
to be made with OPEC to supply more oil. The Bush war for oil has caused the
rise in prices by cutting the flow from Iraq but this was the plan all
along. The right screws America yet again. Nothing new here.

So, all in all you are scared of "faggot weddings". Nothing new here Tard.
Have a nice day.
I never said you did make the claim. Apparently you have difficulty
following a thread since the subject of the oil leases is what I've
been talking about. Perhaps if you tried responding to the actual
topic...
This is the kind of logic one would expect from a loon who says that a
party who votes as a block against Anwar is not responsible for
blocking the drilling, but the party who had a few individuals vote
against drilling is the party responsible for blocking the bill.
As I said before: you are rapidly becoming a complete waste of
time...

You are retarded. If you had been following the thread you would see what a
total fool you are. The thread is not about oil leases moron, it is about
blocking drilling. You get more stupid with every post. Try again fool. You
can't weasel out now. Lying only makes you look even more of an ignoramace.

Your cowardice noted. You are unable to even comment on the right blocking
drilling ANWR and other places so you again try to weasel. Nothing new for
you Tards. The right has successfully blocked oil drilling for decades. Deal
with it fool.
It must be very interesting in your world....
Really? Perhaps you should have explained that when the subject of
leases was introduced into the thread in message 17 of the thread.

"Big oil has leases on 68 million acres. Democrats are against giving
them
any MORE. Why aren't they developing what they already have?"
I was conversing with him when you insinuated yourself into the
discussion. If you don't believe the subject of leases for oil is
relevant to the discussion, then why on earth have you responded to me
when it's clear that's the discussion I was engaged in?

Your inability to comprehend a point or follow a thread detour does
not constitute a lie.
