Then there were oil interests, nefarious or otherwise, like with Kuwait
and the Saudis. Then there was the obligatory rite (not right) for/of/by
any president to make a war, big or small to prove that he has clankers.
There were & are the evangelicals who waited for the Second Coming
as soon as Samaria and Judea was "settled" by Jews. Then there were
revenge and get-even factors reaching back in history for generations,
but intensifying ever since WWII with Jews & Arabs being at each others
throats and dragging US into the fucking game of the annual $3billion
foreign aid (with political kickback payoffs)... Then there was the growth
of religion and fundamentalism in all beliefs in retort to globalization and
growing secularization... etc. == The whole thing is really just the usual
"SNAFU" (situation normal, all fucked up) ... but now for the first time
with the vast real time communication spread... it hits home a bit louder
and immediately... ahaha... but otherwise, it's nothing new under the sun.
To make the long story short: "Mankind is a vast herd of swine!"...
and WE ARE ALL MEMBERS OF THAT HERD".... oink! oink! oink!

And, hanson, they are SEMITES, hanson, are your FRieNdS.
Hussein was months away from denominating his oil sales in the
oil-for-food programme in Euros.
Americans could live with Hussein until he tried to sell his oil in
Euros - then the Europeans could live with him.

It's not nebulous, it's well known. US treasury screws the entire world
with their monetary policies. Just think, last year oil was
USD$25/barrel now it is at USD$67. This means the worlds oil bill has
increased 3 fold in the last year. This of course means the world needs
to buy 3 times more US dollars to purchase thatoil. For example, the
world was paying last year $2.3billion/day for oil and today it's
paying over $6 billion. The sudden increase in price obviously benefits
oil producers (OPEC, etc), oil companies but also the US economy. This
is how the US administration decided to pay for their disastrous
mistakes - let the global economy pay.
This type of activity is called an "oil shock" and this is the 3rd time
in history that the US has done this. The first oil shock was in the
70's when Nixon floated the dollar. The first oil shock was to force
foreign central banks to horde USD currency reserves to facilitiate
their countries oil transactions. This forced the world to adopt USD as
the defacto currency - this is known as "dollar hegemony". The second
oil shock was in the 80's to boost the US economy.
Because of this, the USA is the only country able to massively fund
major projects (military, nasa, etc) for virtually free. All they need
to do is borrow and borrow and borrow in their own currency. The value
of the dollar never declines (as would happen with any other currency)
for the simple reason that the demand for USD is ALWAYS there (due to
global oil transactions).
It's a beautiful setup, until OPEC denominates oil in Euros. When this
happens (and make no mistake, it will) the currency crisis will start
and the stampede to dump USD for Euro's will absolutely decimate the US
economy. Hussein tried to do this and was removed few months before
coming online. Now Iran wants to implement their euro-denominated oil
bourse by spring 2006. You think Uncle Sam is gonna sit around and let
that happen? We shall see!
The ultimate neocon game was to force America into the untennable
situation where massive trade imbalances and unrealistic reliance on
foreign oil FORCES it to secure dollar hegemony at all costs - forces
US into imperialist actions in the middle-east - forces their agenda (I
wonder what that is).
Their plan has succeeded, but the end-game was very poorly thought out.
