No. It seems you are not familiar with Simon Peter's departure from
Christ Jesus' side brandishing a sword and inflicting harm on another
in the garden of Gethsemane. His subsequent denial of Christ three
times proved he was no longer brethren for a time. His professing love
for Christ three times during his walk with HIM after Jesus'
resurrection proved his reinstatement back by GOD to being HIS brethren
(John 21:15-17).

As for knowing who are the very elect, these you will know by the
unconditional love they have for everyone including their enemies
(Matthew 5:44-45, 1 Corinthians 13:3, James 2:14-17).
