One of the things that the Holy Spirit does is HE makes parts of the
Holy Bible come to life for us so that we actually live through what is
GOD-breathed.

What you have written in the OP of this thread moves me to share a part
of the Bible (John 21:1-6) that the Holy Spirit has had me experience
through HIS eyes.

This happened after the resurrection of Christ Jesus... after HE had
already made two appearances before HIS disciples. Instead of being
overjoyed with these two appearances as the others had been, Simon
Peter was becoming increasingly more despondent. He had denied Christ
three times and everyone knew this. He felt so unworthy and shamed
because he had boasted that he would follow Christ everywhere even unto
death. He saw how even Thomas showed more faith and zeal than he now
felt or was able to show. He thought to himself that perhaps he was
not ever meant to be Jesus' disciple... that he failed the LORD's
test... that he was no better than Judas... perhaps he should also go
hang himself... or drown himself... yes, he could easily drown
himself.

So he got up and unbarred the door, startling his brethren. They asked
him what he was doing because it was not safe to be out especially
since it was already getting dark. He muttered that he was tired of
hiding and being fearful, and needed to go out to do some fishing. The
Holy Spirit helped his brethren sense trouble and six of them in unison
leapt up saying they were going with Peter. So seven in all, they
climbed into a boat on the shore of the Sea of Galilee and set out when
it was already dark.

They fished for hours and hours, throughout the night, not catching
anything. It was especially frustrating for Simon Peter because he had
boasted to his brethren about his prowess as a fisherman before meeting
Jesus. His brethren, trying to be helpful, would offer various
suggestions including one about letting out the net on the opposite
side of the boat. At this, Peter got angry but held his tongue while
thinking that he must deserve all the additional humiliation he was
receiving. The Holy Spirit foreknew and indeed was guiding Peter's
brethren to offer suggestions so that Peter's anger would supplant his
despondency. Then the sky lightened at daybreak and they saw a figure
on the shore who called out to them asking them if they had caught any
fish. They called out in reply that they had not caught anything. The
humiliation was complete for Peter. He had failed at being a disciple
and now he had also failed as a fisherman. He wondered about his
future and was falling again into a deep depression.

Then the figure on the shore called out that they should let the net
down on the right side of the boat. Peter's brethren laughed at his
expense upon hearing this and Peter muttered under his breath that
there is no such thing as a right side for a fishing boat because the
net ends up in the same place in the water regardless of the
originating side of the boat. Anger was again replacing despondency.
Nonetheless, Peter carried the net and harness over to the opposite
side of the boat and was amazed at how fish were leaping into the net
as he was letting it down. They all immediately realized upon seeing
this that the figure on the shore was Jesus. This was the right side
of the boat because this was the side of the boat where Jesus had
commanded the fish to go into the net ! ! !

Laus Deo ! ! !

Marana tha ! ! !

May GOD help us to become better fishers of men (and women) through HIS
Word, LORD Jesus Christ.

HIS side is the right side.

So let us not take sides but be at HIS side.

There we will catch more fish :-)

Amen ! ! !
