Correct.

Evidence for a born-again Christian being in the Holy Spirit:

(1) Those of this world are not longer able to predict behavior (John
3:8).

(2) Ability to perform signs/miracles in Christ Jesus' name (Acts 1:8
and 2:4 and 5:12-16).

(3) Demonstrating an amazing understanding of Scripture (Acts 4:8-20)

(4) Demonstrating a knowledge of what the world considers to be
unknowable (Acts 4:12 and 6:10).

(5) Hatred and fear from those who are of this world (Acts 5:17 and
6:9) leading to false witnessing being borne against them (Acts 6:11)

As for knowing who are the very elect, these you will know by the
unconditional love they have for everyone including their enemies
(Matthew 5:44-45, 1 Corinthians 13:3, James 2:14-17).

Those who are guided by the Spirit are filled with the fruits of the
Spirit which are peace, joy, moderation, long suffering etc. It is when
a christian gives his thoughts, actions and words to God that he is able
to use us.

That is true. There is a song I especially love.
It has a beautiful melody with the words:

Make me an instrument of thy will
Teach to love, teach me to heal
Make me an instrument of thy will
As I awaken the Living Christ in me.

Thanks,
Sensi

Purify my life; I want to be your instrument.
Teach me how to live, and I will follow you.
I want to preach about your mercy!
I want to preach about your love!
I want to see my friends coming to you.
I want to see your presence over my city!

I love this one too:)

That's because of (1) and (5) above.

No. It would take the rest of eternity for my knowledge of GOD to be
perfected in truth and in love.

Just a HE is not of this world, we are no longer of this world... just
passing through.

The fruit of the Spirit is. . . .????

Galatians 5
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness,
goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things
there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the
sinful nature with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit,
let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited,
provoking and envying each other.

God bless,
Feather

hehe, I just posted the verse from Galatians 5 on the SINGULAR, fruit of the
Spirit. It's a package deal - His Holy Spirit produces that fruit in us as
we are surrendered to His will for our lives - we see it as numerous, see it
as "fruits," when in fact, it is singular, but nine-fold.

interesting, eh?

God bless,
Feather

Now for the context which is one of comparison:

"The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity
and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy,
fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy;
drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that
those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of GOD."
(Galatians 5:19-21)

The latter (hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition,
dissensions, factions and envy and the like) is what is observed among
usenet participants who are brandishing swords. While many of these
would also deny being HIS brethren, there are some who sadly claim to
be HIS brethren.

"Those who live by the sword will die by the sword." -- LORD Jesus
Christ
