Chico might remember the 9 goals he threw against them from all over
the field in the stanford beer finals.
OSU might remember the crazy ass hammer I threw to him that he caught
over the wing while trapped in the back of the endzone on double game
point of our fight at Stanford.
If you've played us, chances are he did something that made you say
wow. (except he didn't go to colligiates.. so then you wouldn't say
wow.)
Speaking of awesome club players... he was a staple of the PBR offense
last year... PBR players.. TESTIFY!!!
and he's the nicest guy in the world.
I've never heard him swear *TRUE* He says darnit a lot.
I hate talking people up on RSD for the RSD-a-han award, but he truly
deserves it if were talking about a player who not only dominates
while on the field, but also shows great respect and sportsmanship
while playing. and he'll be back next year.. muahaha
Maybe some other regional opponents can comment since that's all that
we should be considering as someone so thoughtfully put it.. speaking
of, ill take the time to put in my two cents on my regions super
players.
All I can see standing a chance in our region (other than Kub of
course) are the guys from Colorado, cause you know I've been checking
them out every chance i can.. (16-15!!!! I REMEMBER!!)
Richter is good. He's super clutch (those two D's he got in the
berkeley game were good.. I'd be proud to have done that. He's fast,
and his throws have gotten pretty good as well.. a worthy
nominee/vote.
Parker is probably the best handler I've seen in college. I'd vote for
him.
Beau is .. damn thats a good pickup.. for a first year player.. he
should have come to San Diego.. He's gunna be tough to cover. We've
all seen the pictures.
I'm curious who they nominate.
Thats about it for our region.
Hopefully someone can chime in with some good things to say about
Kubiak.. he definitley deserves it. And I loved that I got to write
"golf" as the sports he played in high school on the callahan-mvp
site..

despite the fact that we liked to rip it a lot anyway, adam is one of
the easiest and most fun players to play with that i've known... he's
6'4", fast and has incredible hands... i would honestly play a game
where i would occasionally throw it to his defender and watch adam
catch it (sorry, kubes... and sorry to his defender)

i can definitely testify to that... it's a little unnerving but makes
his jokes even funnier

BWA HA HA... rsd-a-han....
and if all the ultimate superlatives aren't enough, he does all this
while going pre-law at UCSD and his side hobby is rebuilding his
mustang ('68 i think)... even the wiring
1) I have one of the fastest stall counts in the nation.
2) At Aporil Fools Fest, I faked a flick, the frisbee hit the tip of
my penis, i fell to the ground and dropped the disc for a turn.
3) I can change my pivot foot better than anyone I have ever seen.
4) I set great picks
5) I invented frisbee
So, spread the word, Gumby for callahan. But in all seriousness,
Kubiak is amazing. Can one team nominate more than one person for
Callahan? Cuz I think BOFA should definitely be considered callahand
material, and Colorado has 3 fucking amazing players.

And about 1500 orther posts from Stu that spring.
My experience with Adam (kubiak) as both a teammate and a friend has
been nothing but positive.
The one club season I've played with him he was a tremendous receiver,
bringing down all kinds of stuff that probably shouldn't have been
thrown. Now the big man's starting to use his throws too, and is
pretty much uncoverable on offence. His defence is, in a word,
SPECTACULAR! If you get a chance to watch the Squids this season keep
an eye on him, you won't be dissapointed.
Adam's greatest asset as an athlete is his poise under pressure. His
game face never changes, no matter what the situation. He's an
inspirational athlete/player/leader and is more humble than any
ultimate player I've ever met. His attitude is refreshing in a game
with so many big fish in such a small pond. Adam's a fantastic
callahan nominee, good luck squids.

I'd say 10/15 yards of improvement. Still working on my bowler kick, though.
mikeC
---are you serious????
that is sweet.
aim higher!!!! and further!!!
when you're not throwing as far as you'd like...
1-grip the disc tighter
2-put it futher back behind you(reach further straight back)
3-snap your wrist harder
get that bowler kick working for you.
it's the shizzle.
I didn't learn this from Mike G (I think I learned it by watching Jason
Simpson), but it really does work. With a power grip and a "bowler kick" I
can pull it at least to the goalline with my off-hand.
> it's the shizzle.
Well, I don't know about all that..

In slow-mo. pure-XXX Maybe someday I'll get it on the web or DVD.
Charles
cenzer has always had great pulls...he golfs a ton.
your advice helped me out a ton, and other guys on the team too.
still throw them to low everynow and then, but i can at least get them
down to the goal line now, and the pretty ones hang up there for a
while.
everybody loves the bowler kick.
moose.
let me get a copy of that Charles!
thanks in advance.

a good pull, a wise man once said, is worth 2 or 3 points a game.
