We have all heard about (and complained about) the "twenty dollar band aid".
Forty million people do NOT have health care. Rather than let them die
when they get sick, we treat them in the ER.
Guess what? SOMEBODY has to pay for their ER treatment. That is why the
band aids (and other stuff) is priced so high. Those without health care
are being subsidized by those that DO have health care.
Sorry to disappoint all you anti-socialists out there in radio land, but
this subsidizing sounds like "socialism" to me -- and its been going on
for years, under both the Repubs and Democrats.
