Mr. McCain made a bad judgment call when he finally decided to use
public funds (after a significant period of vacillation). He refusal to
commit in a timely manner allowed Mr. Obama an out, from their original
agreement. All is fair in dirty pool.

I doubt they number in the "millions". From the Atlanta paper:

"The Obama organization said its extensive review has ensured that the
campaign has refunded any improper contributions, and noted that Federal
Election Commission rules do not require front-end screening of donations."

So what's the big deal? Do you think Obama won't be able to return the
questionable money? These campaigns are audited, you know.
