Glad to see Perry get in the race.

Right now I would vote for him.

Guess I'll have to get the old Dodge Power Wagon gased up and ready for the
three county run!!

A guy I used to know back in the 1980s, he owned a Dodge Power Wagon,
and a 1956 Cadillac. He offered to sell the Dodge Power Wagon to me for
$700.00.It was in good condition too.He also offered to sell the 1956
Cadillac to me for $500.00.

My first [legal] car was a '56 Cadillac. It had the best AM radio I ever
had. Crank windows, too. Threw a timing chain and left it in Salinas
back in'73.

You should have sold the Flivver and the Willy's and bot the Dodge.

I own two big long tall full size Dodge vans.A 1978 Dodge van and a 1983
Dodge van.I am well 'Fixed' as far as Dodge vehicles are concerned.1948
Willys Jeep, 1914 Ford Model T and a 1976 made in Germany SACHS Moped,
(it has bicycle pedals on it too. http://www.mopedarmy.com ) and
three Bicycles and a Unicycle, it has two pedals and one wheel.I don't
need any more vehicles.I have enough to last me the rest of my life.

New cars nowadays aren't worth a Sheet! They done made them so fancy and
complicated, a shade tree mechanic like me can't hardly work on
them. What good is owning a vehicle you don't know how to work on?

Possibly you are overlooking the fact that "they done made them so
fancy" that a 150,000 or 200,000 mile life is not uncommon, a feat
rarely matched by the old beaters. Generally speaking, the new cars
don't need a shade tree mechanic.

Ain't it the truth? Most of them look like eggs on wheels with the
same style headlights and tail lights. I love watching classic car
auctions on TV. There were great looking cars in the 50's, 60's, and
70's. Sadly, today they sacrifice style and class for aerodynamics.

In December of 2010, I had to rebuild the 4 barrel Thermo-Quad
carburetor in my 1983 Dodge van. That 4 barrel MOFO carburetor was a real
B!tch to get it right. My 1978 Dodge van has a simple easy to rebuild 2
barrel carburetor. Both vans have 318 cubic inches engines.Someday I am
going to check the auto junkyards around here for an intake manifold
that uses a 2 barrel carburetor and I will put that manifold on my 1983
Dodge van.I already have two 2 barrel carburetors, plus the one on my
1978 Dodge van.I don't like 4 barrel carburetors.I don't like fuel
injection either.I am too old a dog to learn any new tricks.
