Some people just don't get it. They don't understand technology of any
kind, politics, religion or that they should be breath through their
nose most of the time. These same people are the classic "horses ass"
that will post that you are wrong about something and not even know
what they are talking about. Not knowing the subject does not stop
them. They misconstrue what you post due to reading comprehension
problems. Then they want you to explain things to them after they have
insulted you like you have some kind of obligation to educate them like
the malevolent freaking idiots that they are. Heck, usually they can't
even post on topic or follow Usenet conventions.

So I thought I would start a clueless poster thread where we could vote
for the most clueless poster boy of the week.

Billy Burpelson - ADD and totally clueless
Mike Bryant - past award winner looking for a comeback
m II - Just plain strange and disgusting as usual.
David - What's in the pipe mixture this week?
3D - 3 different dimensions of clueless.
oneway - His clueless way or the highway.
IBOCcrock - The broken HD record.
RHF - The kitchen sink of links, punctuation and the spam answer man.
cuhulin - King of trolls. This man knows the proper way to Troll.
pachurmurthy - Only one clueless post but starting off strong.

This weeks winner is Billy Burpelson. While listening to his radio,
which he forgot to plugin power and connect the antenna to Billy had
a rare double burp (a large beer belch follow a few seconds later by an
after-belch). At the time Billy mistook these sounds for the HAARP
signal and moon reflection. He then reported his observations to the
amusement of all readers of this news group.

So now, for this selfless, mirthful act on behalf of all
rec.readio.shorwave readers I hereby award the distinguished clueless
award upon Billy's miserable head.

Well, Billy's off to a fine start but can he keep up with the other
Trolls? He is up against some big names and it's going to be tough
sledding.

Nice try. Now you want to get a real feud going. What is wrong with you?

Let's not forget one of the brighter individuals ever to have graced the
pages in this newsgroup:

Honus!

Question: Why was Blueberry licking her anus?

Cool, are you going to judge or are we going to have open voting or what.

Some of us can't vote because we have people we don't read so can't judge!

Cast your additional votes for the clueless in this thread. You get to

You are the last person I would expect to quote the bible but I think
you mistake discernment for judgment. There is nothing final or absolute
here and besides this list is open to what others have to say.

I'd say Luke 6:38 is what I do here. I'm a giver of humor.

RHF was all set to be the clear winner this week with 146 clueless posts
but as luck would have it, Eduardo has a posting orgasm this very night.
Although the number was far under the most prolific Troll this week the
clueless quality of Eduardo's posts yet again arguing about his identity
far outshone those of the cut, copy, and past variety.

Therefore, now this week零 clueless poster boy award goes to the alias
David Eduardo.

Telamon,

Doesn't "IBOCcrock" with 49 Post to this Newsgroup
this Month deserve at least a Dis-Honorable Mention ?

"IBOCcrock" really tries hard to be a PITA about all things
Anti-IBOC and is generally Anti-Free-Over-the-Air Radio too.
Plus he does do his fair share of Cut, Copy and Paste work.

As I've mentioned before, I can't imagine why anyone would bother to
read Telamon's self-sanctimonious drivel. If he's running a clueless
contest, here's to the fact that I know he lacks the honesty and
integrity to count his own cluelessness.

The vast majority of his posts have nothing to do with shortwave. He
simply trumpets his own superiority by running down everyone else.
There is not the slightest iota of positivity in his shriveled soul.
Say what you want about RHF, but at least he's a friendly guy. No one
would ever make that conclusion assessing Telamon.

Come on folks! Make this a happier place by not reading, or at least
not re-posting, his constant attacks on everyone else.

Do you think he really owns a shortwave radio?

This is neither an endorsement nor a criticism of Telamon - On the
occasion when he posts about the technical aspects of shortwave, he
seems to know considerably about it. He also occasionally reports
reception. So, yepp, I really think he owns and uses a HF receiver.

Super Pro, Halli S53-A, Ten-Tec RX 350, National NC-88 (2 of them),
Grundig Sat 500, Grundig Sat 700 (for Sale), Grundig Sat 650

what I can see from my desk. There are dozens of vintage Philcos,

This is just an expected conclusion from a clueless individual.

Don't project your inferiority upon other people. They don't like it.

I post about facts. You however come off very negative.

I don't need your permission. I never wrote that he was not friendly.

You are wrong about this as in most things. No big surprise.

You mean like you just did? Ha, ha, ha. You are such a funny guy.

Very good Mikey. Looks like you are trying for a big comeback.

I have 4 communications receivers, 4 portables, and a National NC-125.
This is not counting the VHF-UHF receivers. I use the Drakes and the
ICOM for MW almost exclusively. (I'd be doing my usual winter thing of
listening to ComSta Kodiak but my random wire antenna got messed-up by
the Santa Anas and I'm not allowed to climb just yet.)

The only reason I'd listen to a 250 kW station on HF is because of the
content (no challenge to receiving a quarter of a million Watts) which I
can now get on satellite and/or web streams. I thoroughly enjoyed GHFS
but that's gone; the San Francisco ATC is a good test of the receiver
(listen for the pilots) but kinda boring.

When I asked if anyone thought Telamon had a SW receiver, I wasn't
asking everyone to prove their worthiness by listing their receivers.

I was making fun of Telamon's old routine of accusing me of not having
a shortwave receiver. Telamon claims to be the adjudicator of
"clueless" posts. Spend a few moments in the archives assessing his
own long-term (pre-2005) campaign of name-calling and cluelessness.
His techniques were established long ago.

He's not a physician, so I doubt his capabilities at healing himself.
His major displayed skill, so far, is pontification.

BTW, thanks for finally letting us know just what you do use your
radios for, David. I think we can all understand your boredom with SW
broadcasting a little better.

I think I missed the part in the by-laws where it says you must own a
SW radio in order to participate in this group. As for me - I can't
buy anything until I get my General and probably would be better to
wait until I have my Extra. And I have appreciated the posts on this
specific newgroup when I have asked questions about the exams and so
forth.

HOWEVER, I find all this off - topic verbose banter Far better, I
assure you all, than anything currently on t TV on Wednesday nite at
the 8 o'clock prime time hour. So, for that "almost free form of
entertainment" I do thank all of you - those of you who have clueless
posts and those of you who stick, more or less, to the topic of SW
radio. Have a pleasant evening.!!!

This news group is for SWL's. There are plenty of other news groups
dedicated to various aspects amateur radio. You don't need a license to
buy a receiver.

It helps to have a clue though and Mikey does not have any. Maybe you
can help him.

Spare me the direct appeals in order to become the clueless poster boy

The news this week is that the MWB comeback tour is failing miserably.
Although he is as clueless as ever, any other noted Troll is much
farther ahead trashing threads except for Billy who also put in a
pretty weak showing.

Statistical analysis of postings show that m II has become less
disgusting this week. Could this trend continue to the point that he
appears to be a normal individual?

Cuhulin is back in style just not in volume.

That new pipe mixture of coal tar and DeoxIT just didn't seem to light
a fire under the David the nowhere-man. It did get a few short lived
raves out him though.

David Eduardo again spent most of his time posting about the most
important subject in the increasingly warming world, which is the life
and times of the uber cultural David Eduardo.

This week零 clueless poster boy award goes to RHF where every post is
an unwanted Google search result with added punctuation for that extra
touch of incomprehension.

Congratulations RHF.

A special note this week goes out to Burr.

Dear Mr. Burr,

Trolling is serious business that is best left to professionals. I know
they make it look easy but generally it takes a serious mental
deficiency or psychiatric problems to reach the level of performance
exemplified by the gentlemen in the competition listing above.

My advice is don't try it.

This has been another installment of the RRS no-spin clueless factor

That is a fine sentiment until you post then people in general have an

I was making a joke on MWB's use of the word "drift." It's OK that you
didn't get it. There was no expectation on anyone's behalf that you

Apparently the meaning of most of the post "sailed" right past you.

Pretty much but also the present and most likely the future. The
insidious nature of being clueless is never getting to a point of having
one. I'm sorry to say you are doomed to a life of cluelessness.

Thinking is not activity that suites you very well. If I were you I'd
stick with clueless.

The very fact that you felt the need to defend him is, well, pretty
clueless on its own.

Now stop goofing off get back to work. You need to generate at least
another 199 posts this week about nothing and it will take hours just to
type all that extra punctuation you use.

Telamon,

From your response to RHF, I think everyone can make their own
conclusions. Few of us probably have the capacity to keep up with
someone so advanced in wit, humor, and intelligence as you seem to be
(at least in your own mind!). Thank you so much for judging which of
us have lives and don't. The fact that you seem to live to set the
rest of us right says so much about the depth of your own life. What
would we do without your vastly superior capacities? This group would
clearly be just a gaggle of inferiors without your stunning (and
usually off-topic) contributions.

Yes, Telly, you have enough of a life to spend it daily berating
everyone else on this group for failing to live up to your standards.
The depth (nay, the actual superiority) of your life is obvious.

If you know how to sail, here's some advice: Find the rudder.

Regardless of your "true" motivations, your method displays all we
really need to know about your "real" life.

Once upon a time I thought you were at least intelligent, even if you
were ill-mannered. I'm beginning to think I was clearly wrong. Conceit

Sorry about the extra "e" that got you all in a rage but I don't have
an editor to review my posts for spelling and grammar errors.

You have made mistakes yourself and I find it pointless to bring them to
your attention due to your clueless nature. In other words you have
bigger problems than spelling and grammar. Consequently if typos is all
you can find wrong with what I post I must be doing pretty good. Thanks
for the insight.

Mikey top posting is a clueless behavior. I fixed it for you in this
reply.

You are imagining these "images of self-superiority." They only exist
for you. I'm just a regular guy. I don't think I'm some superior male.
This is what most people call projection. You take an attitude inside
yourself and project it upon someone or something else. This is how
media like ink blots are used. They are just a random shapes that look
like something to you.

You see it is you that has the "image of self-superiority." It's
something you tried to projected onto me.

Pay attention Mikey. It's just a select group of goofballs not everyone.

I've sailed using a rudder and wheel. I prefer a rudder. You would not

I don't think so. This just shows that you are more interested in
imagining my life than knowing it. Also you seem happy to project your
own feeling of inadequacy upon me. That's a tough position to find
yourself in.

> Once upon a time I thought you were at least intelligent, even if you
> were ill-mannered. I'm beginning to think I was clearly wrong. Conceit

Discourse should not be mistaken for debate. Debate is the mode you are
locked into. I'm not looking for an argument like you are.

What I do is answer questions about radios or antennas. I possess a lot
of information about electronics, radios, and have been a SWL for many
years. I don't just cut and paste and I answer in my own words. I try
not to use big words that confuse people like you but I can't always get
away from technical terms. I provide links when appropriate. My posts
don't look like a Google search result. I don't expect to reach people
like yourself that are not technically minded.

This thread that I started are my thoughts about a small select group of
individuals that never seem to get any understanding of the majority of
posts to the news group. A key feature of these select few is that not
only do they not get a concept time after time they want to argue with
you about it. This is in every sense of the word clueless behavior.
Unfortunately you are a part of this select group. I really do feel
sorry for you but that won't stop me from making fun about it once a
week.

So Mikey go forth and be the most clueless you can be.

Well now, that's exactly the point, isn't it? Particularly when someone

No. You are clueless. You have no point.

I never made a claim to possess superior intelligence. I possess a
normal level of intelligense. You are quoting Mikey.

You are just going to have to put up with the occasional typos and the
bad grammar.

Well, since I'm normal and yet you think I'm positively brilliant where
does that leave you? Try real hard. Maybe if you hyperventilate it would
help.

The only thing you explain is your own mental confusion. Don't expect
other people to follow in your wake.

I suppose you would rather I lie about this? I could go on with more
things that I don't like about you. Remember that the disrespect started
with you not listening to other people like myself. Myself and others
have made numerous requests that you stop doing what is listed above.
You decided instead to continue to annoy. You reap what you sow.

Looks like you are headed to your second big win.

can't tell the difference between information, understanding or

Nope. That's not going happen. Once I have written something using the
wrong meaning word or a typo I will reread it and make the correction
mentally without realizing it. I see other peoples mistakes very easily
but not my own. I'm also a bit of a mental dyslexic and write sentences
backward, which I have to rewrite. I also write using overly complicated
sentence structure and I use extra words in many sentences.

I think this is normal. That's why there are editors.

Yes.

That's not my problem. That's Mikey's problem.

I'm boring normal and nothing special. You and Mikey though are a
different story.

You would be doing better to argue with someone else. This isn't an
argue with Telamon thread.

I done all that. You still show up due to volume. You are not "a target"
but part of a group of special poster boys. This isn't just about you.

Oh darn! You are back up another point. That was close. You almost had a
clue there but it slipped away from you at the last moment.

My opinion is that you are clueless. You are not going to change that
opinion by arguing with me about it. You could change my opinion by
changing your behavior.

So far you are ahead in the polls. Good work.

You have always been clueless so if that is entertaining then you are in
very good shape.

MWB was entertaining - his return is barely causing a ripple in the
fabric of the ng. Eduardo is kinda the new MWB in terms of being the
ng 'chew toy.'

Yeah, it's a sad life when I depend on this ng for entertainment,
nonetheless I'll take whatever jollies I can get. Don't take this too
hard, but your guys' barbs at each other are not quite as entertaining
as the DXAce & mII threads which do seem pretty sparse these days.

The clueless are dominating more than the ng, they are taking over the
world........at least it seems it at times. You know things are
getting tough when Ricketts starts to make sense 8-}

It's 10:00PM. Do you know where your news group Trolls are?

Welcome to the RRS no-spin clueless factor report and now here is this
week零 news. Similar to the low number of sunspots of late the numbers
of clueless poster boy posts appear to be hitting some low numbers with
the exception of RHF. Here are the self-vote totals for this week.

Billy Burpelson - 4
m II <c...@in.the.hat> - 7
Mike <mwbr...@aol.com> - 8
cuh...@webtv.net - 30
David <not...@nowhere.org> - 74
David Eduardo - 83
RHF - 256

It looks like there is some kind of trouble on the horizon as Billy, m
II, MWB, and even cuhulin had low numbers. Worse, m II and cuhulin
actually made a few on topic posts. Well, need I mention that posting on
topic is not clueless behavior and I don't want to seem overly harsh but
if this keeps up you could get dropped off this list.

MWB had low volume again this week but the few posts he made were of
very high quality. This guy has not lost his touch and just needs to get
his volume up by arguing with other people.

Another troubling development concerns David the not there guy. Some of
his posts could not be classified as a rant. Worse, some of his posts
made rational sense and other users of the news group recognized this.
If David keeps up, he could be dropped off the list.

The good news is Eduardo got back onto the HD chip vaporware bandwagon
and made quite a spectacle of with that topic. Using the old tried and
true privileged information tactic he continues to try selling that the
new HD radio chip as just around the corner with no way to verify it. We
should just believe him. That is very clueless David.

Last but not least is RHF with 256 self-votes. RHF is looking like a
real standout in both quantity and very clueless quality. It looks to me
that this boy will never get a clue. In a dramatic incident earlier this
week, he almost got a clue but we all watched it slip through his
fingers at the very last moment. It's probably the closest he will ever
get to have one.

And now I would like to award this week零 clueless poster boy of the
week award upon the confused head of RHF for his hard work at remaining
as clueless as ever. That cutting and pasting must be pretty tiresome
work and you deserve this award. Fine work like this could earn you the
clueless poster boy of the year award. Good work RHF!

This has been another installment of the RRS no-spin clueless factor
report. Good night and good listening.
