Hi,

A enters combat with B via a successful Games of Instinct action.
"At the end of combat", B is not ready. A gains blood from Games of
instinct.

Can A play Slake the Thirst at inferior ?
Can A play Slake the Thirst at superior ?

Thanks

~~

Games of Instinct
Cardtype: Action
Requires a ready Sabbat vampire.
(D) Enter combat with an older vampire controlled by another
Methuselah. At the end of that combat, if only one combatant is ready,
that ready vampire gains blood equal to the opposing vampire's
capacity from the blood bank.

Slake the Thirst
Cardtype: Action Modifier / Combat
Discipline: Sanguinus
[san] [COMBAT] Only usable when this vampire gains blood. Choose
another ready Blood Brother of the same circle. That vampire gains the
same amount of blood from the bank.
[SAN] [ACTION MODIFIER] As above, but usable as an action modifier.

A can play Slake the Thirst as an action modifier, but not as a combat
card.

Games of Instinct's blood gain has the same timing as Yawp Court,
which has the same timing as Save Face, which is after the combat
ends.

does that mean it is before the action ends though?

Of course.

Well it has to be, else you'd not be able to play an action modifier,
and LSJ just ruled you can.

There needs to still be some action left in which to play action
modifiers after the combat has finished, else you'd not be able to play
Freak Drive, etc.

In [LSJ 20091120] (I cannot provide the link - title of thread "Predator's
communion after combat? ") it was stated that explicit card text is needed
for an action modifier to be played during/after resolution.

Does the "Only usable when this vampire gains blood" text allow it to be
playable after resolution of an action ? In other words, does that "trigger
condition" override
For instance, if a Blood Brother gains blood via hunting, can he play sup.
Slake the Thirst (should be yes, but I'm just wondering due to this
"explicit card text" thing) ?
Same question for a Blood Brother gaining blood via Perfectionist after a
successful action.
Same question for a Blood Brother gaining blood via Voter Captivation (won't
happen often, I know).

Different scenario : a Blood Brother diablerizes an opponent with blood, in
combat, via Amaranth.
Can he play Slake the Thirst after the blood gain and before the blood hunt
referendum, at either inferior or superior level ? I guess yes and also that
StT can only be played during that window, in that scenario.

Finally, what about a Blood Brother who already has blood equal to his
capacity ? Is he considered to "gain" blood when the extra blood he "gets"
goes to the blood bank (just wondering for cycling purposes) ? In other
words, can you play StT with a vampire at full blood ?
thanks

It specifies when it can be played, so yes.

It can be played as a combat cards, yes.

"Goes to the bank" from where?
In other words, yes.
