done with jack of both sides ?
Think answer is no (as per the clarifications given in the past about TS
with
summoning/muricia's call) but i would like to get a confirmation here.

Jack of Both Sides is an action to employ a named retainer from your hand
(unlike Summoning/Muricia's Call, which are "search for and employ/recruit"
actions).
If you name an animal retainer with Jack, that action is an "employ animal"
action, and Tainted Spring can be used.

As it mentions damage dealing retainers, if an owl companion was to
deal damage, would that damage be increased?
Is this a pervasive effect?
How does this interact with BV?

Requires: Animalism
Cost: 1 blood
[ani] Only usable when an action to employ or recruit an animal is
announced. If this action is successful, the animal gets +1 strength
(for an ally) or inflicts an additional damage (for damage-dealing
retainers).
[ANI] As above, and the animal gets an additional starting life.

Yes, but moot, since the Owl doesn't deal damage.

BV deals damage under certain conditions. It doesn't, however, make the Owl a
damage-dealing retainer.

So to double check. If there is a retainer ready, BV deals
Environmental Damage like Carrion Crows/Weather Control and does not
come directly from the Owl?
