Matt
Taking your turn (i.e., squaring away your debt from the first one).
Is it true that when another meth plays a master, you can not untap
Bleeding the Vine w/ House of Sorrow to cancel it because of timing?
So are you saying if 1st Tradition is in play and I play a OOT master
and later skip my turn, then I can not play another OOT master because
my debt from the first one hasn't been paid?
Yes.

If I use HoS to untap BtV, is it true that I must pay a pool because I
could not tap BtV?
The rulebook is saying that, yeah.

Why could you not tap BtV?
House of Sorrow says do not untap
Bleeding the Vine says tap or pay a pool
I thought that would be like tap to X, since it is a single sentence.
So tap BtV. You've already untapped it with HoS.
If you've tapped it in the meantime and find that it's tapped when you go to
handle its card text, then sure, you'd have to burn a pool.
Maybe reading the card might help:
Bleeding the Vine
Unique master.
Put this card into play. During your untap phase, tap this card or
burn 1 pool. You may tap this card to cancel a non-out-of-turn master
card played by another Methuselah as that card is played. That card
has no effect (no cost is paid), and that Methuselah gains another
master phase action
I thought it was allowed to tap a tapped card.
So if BtV doesn't untap at the start of my untap, I could still tap it
and won't have to pay the pool.
Or not?
Cheers
Alf
You're also allowed to apply a "burn 1 blood" effect to an empty vampire.
And see Society of Leopold.
