Microsoft no longer uses Internet Explorer, it's now called Edge.

I don't why but every day I'm continually appalled at your stupidity.
You claim you are smart but you prove to the group daily just how
ignorant you truly are. People try to help you but you act like stupidity
is a virtue.

Not so long ago Explorer and Firefox were the 2 main browsers. Now,
Chrome is number 1 and Firefox has been marginalised. Why? How?
There's something fishy going on!

Does chrome run on XP?

I bet Chrome is installed on a ton of phones and tablets.

I ended up installing Chrome on my Linux box because Firefox kept locking
up the Gnome desktop manager. WTF? On Linux?

No idea. I figured the suggestion would trigger him. A pity Amazon doesn't have
a browser, given how he feels about them.

It sounds like a culture clash.

It seems absurd that Firefox on Linux would work so poorly, but that's what I'm
using right now. I have boatloads of memory to spare, but it still stalls things
up. If I put in the SSD that has Win7, the computer will always boot Windows.
Can I migrate things like bookmarks from Firefox for Linux to Firefox for
Windows?

I don't have a clue. I haven't even pursued migrating bookmarks from Firefox for
Linux to Chrome for Linux.

I can setup any Chromebook, or Windows computer, or Android phone, in a few minutes or so. That includes all bookmarks, documents, photos, addresses, and telephone numbers. My entire computer system is easily transportable. I haven't had to mess with that nasty computer setup in years. It's what computing should have always been.

"Edge and Google Chrome are both based on the Chromium browser engine, so offer a lot of the same features and functionality. So, far Edge has differentiated itself by boasting of its privacy and security features, which it claims can beat Google's browser in tests by NSS Labs."

"Oddly enough, Chrome is based on Apple's Webkit rendering engine for web
pages - the same one used for Safari and the browser on the iPad. I
don't know how it works but on the iPad, loading up pages is really
snappy. If speed's your thing you gotta try Chrome."
