Developed from the Nieuport Ni-140, the LN.40 was a French naval dive
bomber proposed for the French aircraft carrier Bearn. But due to the
French AF interference, another naval version was produced as LN.401
while the French AF developed the LN.411 w/o retracting naval wings .
Some of these total of 82 a/c participated in the 1940 Battle of
France and sustained heavy losses due to German flak that protected
the armored columns. Others attacked Italian shipping in the Med and
more produced secretly under Vichy France were confiscated by the
Germans in 1942.

Which suggests those German half tracks with the FLAK were fairly
effective in protecting supply columns.
