Dear Ben Fischer.

I've been working in the professional audio business for 30 years.
We, a compagny based in the Netherlands, have dealt and deal with
numerous
nat. and int. mfg's, but the way you do ''business'' is really
unbelievable.
The way you handle your aftersale/repair part is a fucking shame, not
only
for me, but also for 2 of my clients.
Repairing 2 slates in 1 year, and you simply never send it back.(with
all the
promises made by you telling me you would)
So I made a decision, you can put the slates where the sun is never
shines, and
I try to make a financial deal with my customers.

I also send this mail to the RAMPS group and all the other groups that
I can find.

Maybe it's a good suggestion to find professional help....... fucking
con artist.

Sincerly yours.

Terrible....

After Ben's postings on Ramps earlier in the year, I gave him the
benefit of the doubt & emailed for a price for his TS4. It's been a
few weeks now, & I still haven't had a reply. After reading your
post, Kees, I'm very glad he didn't...

As a result, my money has gone elsewhere, & despite it being on a
used, beaten up old TS1 for a similar price, the friendly, supportive
help at the other end of the phone line if I've had any questions has
been amazing. (Thanks, Charlie, at Denecke - you rock!)

Sorry to read of your troubles, Kees, & you too, Don...

Yo kees, i know Ben Fisher, of http://www.fisher-robotics.com/ reads
ramps in his everlasting efforts to steal money from people, so i
wonder, what was his reply ?

I mean, just publish it, so everyone knows the type of scam he's
running.
And AFAIK , he's based in the UK, maybe time for some fun outing , and
see how Ben is doing over there ? ( while taking some stuff as a
''compensation'' from his lovely office )

R ( unless some British lads are so kind to visit him before we do :)

i wonder, did you pay with Visa/credit card ? If so, mention it to the
credit card company, they are not great fans of fraud.
Ben's trick is that he delivers to just a few, and fucks the majority.
Also, go to your local police station, and report the fraud. That
paper you get you can deliver to your creditcard company, and then
maybe this wanker might stop with his scam.

( if we don't do it ourselves before that )

The most strange thing happend i've got a mail back from Ben Ficher
after 9 minutes!
This is what he send:

Really classy Kees, we have reworked the TS4 recently (in light of
comments from users re: power switch, better buttons and desire for
coloured sticks) and was going to send your two new ones shortly. But
I guess you don't want these or won't use them or will carry on being
abusive and threating, so I might as well bin £1000's of TS4's.

Here's some more about this:(
I had some reaction in 2008 but more of the same "will send it next week"
and no reaction to my last mail may 2009.

Yes, and I have some good news. We are releasing the TimeTool L on next
week (on monday) - in stock UK/US, and will follow in around a week with the
mk3 slate (when we have enough stock on the shelves). Existing backorders
will be fulfilled then.

Check the website on Monday.

Fisher Robotics inc. does not exist, only on the xcalibur server in

http://cine-robotics.com/ is just a registered domain, empty.

And, i see the only online store in the US is
http://www.markertek.com/Video-Equipment/Video-Processors/Time-Code-Equipment/TIMETOOL-L.xhtml
that sells his ''product'

Now, www.markertek.com , my guess is that they do not want to be
associated with a scammer, on top of Google, so if everyone can send
them an email at sa...@markertek.com , and tell them they sell
products from some scammer that is riipping people off on the
internet. they might think again before putting this up in the

It sounds really bad, and it's good that this group can save others from
falling into the Ben Fischer hole.

But what might be happening to Ben is really very sad. When a competent
workman can't/won't deliver the goods, the usual causes are:
1. something in the brain, like mild cognitive impairment that goes to
Alzheimers
2. drug addiction
3. chronic pain disorder

In other words, Ben is in his own hell already. We don't need to be part of
that, but I feel sorry for the man.

I have you beat... I ordered one back in March... many promises of the
slate, none ever realized. If you search the group, you'll see this
isn't the first time this has happened. This same thing happened with
the TS-1. Sad too, because it is a nice little slate with some nice
features in it.
