This is great...you're a genius!
Working with this beta as we speak.

Though I'm fairly new with your program, it makes me think back to an
old DOS program, "Top Priority" which I liked, but is now "stone-age"
material.

Yours definitely blows it away.

I just happened to notice the advanced filtering with rule set-ups.
Again, this reminds of a sophisticated telecom app. for phone cos. a
few years back where telcos. could set up their own rules for customer
phone record processing.

Don't forget to check on that to-do list check-off item.
It would be great for the "cursor" to "stay-put" on a "check-off"
regardless of "view".

Let me know if I'm "off-base" on this one, since I'm a newbie.

When these beta's are complete, I assume it'll be versioned, 2.0?
Would this be correct?

thanks. I am working on documentation/help update and minor issues
which should be completed before final release. The beta is in good
shape and stable so you can use it until final release. I am still
thinking if it will be 2.0. Might be.

Hello,

Thank you Andrey for new release.
Several thoughts:
1. There is should be proposal to save Filter changes on exit;
2. It looks like spaces between items Save Settings, Reset Settings,
Manage Views are different;
3. It has sense to display modified Filters in Manage Views menu also
with stars;
4. I would change "Reset Settings" to "Undo Changes" as reset for me
means setting default values.

Please don't make it 2.0.
Call it 2.0 when the option to set colors/fonts for different types of
tasks is implemented.

When modifying an existing view, the "*" shows up.
The prompt, "Save view as" comes up.

IF you change the view name, the "*" remains in front of the previous
view name and the previous view has assumed the new changes.

You now have 2 views: 1) The old with the "*' and altered and 2) The
new view with the new changes.

Once a "save as" is changed, I would think the old view name would
retain it previous view setting.

I agree - the ability to set formatting colors / fonts / bold etc - in
tasks and also in the notes would make it a great version 2. And also
probably attract some users of other software (like Maple or Journal)

Another great possibility would be to be able to access the Context
Selection pop up window as a Pane instead (with Notes and proerties),
so that one can more quickly add Conetxts to tasks in the Outline
view.

The more I think about it, the more I think that a fast way to categorize
tasks would be what I need the most.

The mean of assigning contexts to tasks, and the Control-M boxes, could be
laid out all the time, in a Total Commander (Norton Commander) way.

Just imagine a 3 column function:

TASK | CONTEXTS | DESTINATION |
Blah | Context 1 | |
Blah2 | Context 2 | |
Blah3 | ---------- | |
Blah4 | SELECT TASK | |
Blah5 | Task1 | |
Blah6 | Task2 | |

So you select a few on the left, click the context and task you want them
into and hit move and they end up in the proper context and task bin.

That would be way faster than the scrolling pain through the Control-M
dialog box I endure all day.

Any thoughts?

Hi Andrey

Thanks for the new beta. I would just mirror some of the other entries
I've been reading around the forum - version 2 (imho) should include
the following basic improvements:

1. Filtering (done - this is awesome - love it).
2. Colour coding/formatting of tasks in outline/to do and notes.
3. Multiple task selection (standard windows shift/ctrl + click) to
move tasks, set context/due date/importance etc., change colour/
format.

How does this match with your ideas of the development plan?
