BRAIN: SIGNIFICANCE OF STIMULATION OF SINGLE NEURON

Dear Robert:    Thanks for this very important information regarding significance of single neurons.

Conversely, "adverse effects" on single neurons -- perhaps a relatively small number --  may help explain how my husband, Bud, improved after his Alzheimers' diagnosis.   I know of no other reports of improvement in anyone after such a diagnosis.   In other words, "adverse effects" of sleeping close to electric clock radio but perhaps an "awakening of neurons or "stimulation of neurons" because interference in frequencies was stopped once electric clock was taken away (???).

This study is particularly meaningful to me right now because I am also considering whether it is possible magnetic fields on our gas service might possibly have been acting as some sort of "un-informed, pseudo-treatment?".  Bud's memory has actually worsened since moving his bed away from the wall opposite the gas meter.

There is the following information re 10 hz. flicker and possible improvement at following link:  http://freepage.twoday.net/stories/2994148/

The issue of magnetic fields higher than ambient readings from the two high voltage lines is potentially serious due to worries re corrosion and separation of pipes..   Alasdair sent additional suggestions today that will be helpful in discussions with the electric company after the holidays.

In the meantime, I am going to help Bud move his bed back to the location adjacent to the gas meter and will document changes in memory.   I will then proceed with corrections, if possible but will then need to fiure out how to come up with something similar but safer that will stimulate Bud's neurons.

There was no indication of pathological changes re Bud's brain on his PET Scan.  All other tests were normal.  CT did indicate some changes consistent with normal aging.   I know he got better after moving the electric clock radio off his nightstand and starting him on melatonin.

I wonder what sort of product might be useful as an alternate stimulator to moving bed back against wall opposite gas meter?    A TENS unit would requre a prescription but possibly would do the trick.  Any suggestions will be appreciated!

Here's hoping 2008 will bring forth great news for all aspects of the EMR cause!!!!     Stay healthy and safe everyone!!!    Joanne

Joanne:

We have many clinical reports suggesting that EM fields in at least
the ELF and RF/ICRW effect windows apparently serve as an artificial
restorer of disrupted intercellular communication.  That theory would
be consistent with what you are reporting here with regard to Bud. In
Alzheimers, Autism, EHS -- as well as in alcoholism, substance
addiction -- a fundamental pathology is sympathetic stress at the cell
membrane level which results in intercellular communication slow down.
That leads to a wide variety of symptoms.

With Autistic children we have behavioral observations that support
the theory as well. When most Autistic children are introduced into a
new environment, they have difficulty with immediate adaptation and an
anxiety reaction ensues. Almost invariably, the child will seek out a
source of EMF in the environment and that exposure becomes soothing
-- the anxiety subsides. Parents report that this is the same at home
with video games on the computer and with children desiring to sit
extremely close to their televisions. This has been observed by docs
in many clinics as well. It appears that the EMF provides an
artificial means of restoring the broken intercellular communication
which causes the anxiety reaction and subsequent symptoms. For a short
period of time, the physiology is able to revert back to a
parasympathetic state because of the external EM fields.

Our concern, of course, is that the effect is artificial, and that
cell membrane damage continues to occur. Over time, the artificial
restoration of the intercellular communication becomes a crutch and
eventually, the EMF will not be the soothing influence. At that point,
the cell membrane damage is likely to be too severe for even the
external field to provide the intercellular 'jump'.
