it's the ability to express ideas and thoughts and whatnot.
to put abstract stuff into words.
also, the non-abstract stuff.
because both are relatively important.
kinda.
anyway, being able to put things into words is one of the things that
distinguishes writers from lower lifeforms.
sorta.
actually, having a sense of humor about yourself is probably more
along those lines.
so... the best thing about being a writer is discovering what's
amusing.
and moving.
and then somehow capturing that in word form.
in such a way that other people can understand it.

some would say getting paid to do so.
but not me.
