Recently when using Internet Explorer and My Computer I have noticed a new
tool bar. By right clicking in the tool bars I know that it is called
"Search Bar." However, it doesn't behave like the other MS tool bars -- all
of its links seem to be directed to pornography, on-line gaming and other
"risky" internet stuff. There is a button labeled "Remove Toolbar" that just
directs me to spyware search software ads. Supposedly this button should take
me to "www.thequickclick.com" -- but when I try to go to the site directly by
entering it in the address line, it says I am unauthorized.
I have run various virus/spyware apps and they are telling me I'm fine. But
my computer (in fact my whole home network) is starting to act strange. How
can I get rid of this unwanted tool bar and irradicate it from my machine?
Thanks all.

Why ?!!! Because one software cannot detect everything . There is currently
no 100% successful solution and nothing on that planet can guarantee 100%
success.
Because Windows Defender is BETA software .BETA means not finished yet and
in bugs in it , in other words not for the public .
You ask why it is released for the public ... Because Microsoft thinks
believe that people are humans and humans can think and realize what BETA
product is and because Defender is new products which is a part of the new
Windows Vista and many other reasons...
This toolbar can easily be removed by SpyBot S&D so there is no problem to
use it as it is free software , very good free software.
I personally use NOD32 which catch all kind of malware but I also sometimes
check with other securities because I know there are humans behind the
product and we all can be wrong sometimes.
