I just noticed some problems with Google Gears and the attachment uploader.
Good news: "Offline Gmail" (0.4) now supports attachment uploading while
offline!
When available, Gmail uses Google Gears instead of Flash to upload the
files.
The upcoming Mailplane 2.1.1 will support it, of course.
Some users also reported problems with the latest Flash 10.1 beta version
(crashes when attaching files).
This problems will be fixed too.
If you like to test both improvements today, here's the latest build:

Any feedback is very much appreciated, just reply to this thread.

Apparently it did! But I have Offline Gmail disabled right now (which itself
took a few app restarts to really get in place). I had some important emails
to send and it was taking ages to finish the sync!
I'll try reactivating Offline Gmail soon.

Still having *MAJOR* issues with Mailplane. I keep getting the "Still
working" and no mails are sent as soon as I activate the offline gmail
(from GMail's own icon, not MP's).
I was finding the previous version (and the current stable 2.1
version) working very badly with offline mode (it would just keep
synchronizing but not do anything), and I had to reload often.
