Thanks for the info.- most informative.
 
I may be showing my ignorance here, but....if I use a standard multi tester, would the sender indicate what resistance the unit is producing?
 
I assume the resistance should be higher for a full tank.

Yes .. can be tested with std multimeter.
Resistance will increase/decrease as fuel-level change.
