Dear Prabhus, Hare Krishna! Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!
For several months, the Sampradaya Sun has been investigating ISKCON related corporations, and yet they do not even know that it's not possible for a non-profit corporation to be transformed into a for-profit corporation (See the Sampradaya Sun craziness reproduced below). Even worse than their obvious ignorance is the unfortunate fact that when they see something on a State of North Carolina web page which obviously makes no sense, they immediately go into the throws of wild mental speculation in order to try to put devotees in as bad a light as possible.
Like I said before, "... the Sampradaya Sun cannot be trusted!"

One of these, Iskcon Education of North Carolina, Inc., is a domestic non-profit entity that was incorporated by Bruce Jacobs (Bir Krishna das Goswami) on January 9, 1991. It currently has an application pending to change the entity's legal name to Padma, Inc., and also to change its status from a non-profit to a for-profit corporation.
Given that this was an ISKCON corporation run by a GBC member, ISKCON diksa guru and swami, one would expect that the assets and profits of Iskcon Education of North Carolina, Inc./Padma Inc. will be under the purview of the GBC, and not absorbed into the personal wealth of its director(s)

This is totally false, and is yet another example of the Sampradaya Sun's runaway mental speculation. The fact is that Iskcon Education of North Carolina, Inc was incorporated by Edith E. Best (my wife). Here's proof. According to the topmost (oldest) PDF document on:

In light of what's been discovered yesterday and today, how can we trust the Sampradaya Sun to ever get their "facts" right?

I wrote to [the Sampradaya Sun] on June 21st stating that http://www.harekrsna.com/sun/editorials/06-10/editorials6201.htm should say "As reported by Linda Moulton Howe," not "As reported by Linda Moulton" and that it was "Blowout Preventer," not "Blueout Preventer." No response, but they did correct the 2nd error. I wrote to them again on June 22nd again pointing out the 1st error, but still no response, and it still hasn't been corrected. :-(
It seems that everybody under the sun knows that the reporter's name is Linda Moulton Howe; everybody, that is, except "The Sampradaya Sun!"
The above example of a copy/paste job (with, as usual, no credit or link given to the original article) gone-wrong, is proof that even when a gross error, which is obviously embarrassing to Srila Prabhupada, is pointed out to them, they sometimes still won't admit it or even bother to fix it!
My advice to Mother Jahnava and Rocana Prabhus: A little less quantity and a little more quality, please!

Which lists one name only -- Bruce Jacobs, Registered Agent.
Definition of an "incorporator": the incorporator is simply the
individual who files the articles of incorporation. The incorporator�s
duties and title end after incorporating. The incorporator must be old
enough to legally enter into contracts. If the incorporator is also the
Registered Agent, their duties in the latter role continue until such time
as the officers or directors appoint a new Registered Agent. Filings are
typically considered to be done by the Registered Agent, who officially
attests to knowing another signing party (director) named in the Articles,
and the R.A. commits to receiving communications on behalf of the
incorporated entity in future so compliance can be assured.
You're wrong again, Pratyatosa. Don't bother sending the apologies this
time. We'd prefer to receive a schedule of the assets that existed in
Iskcon Education of North Carolina, Inc before its name was changed to
Padma Inc., which is apparently your wife's private corporation.

So the reference you quoted says that the incorporator is not
necessarily the same as the registered agent. How does it prove that
Bruce Jacobs had to be the one to register the corporation just
because he is now the registered agent?
Do you even know what Padma Inc does currently?
Unfortunately, it seems that unless you address your email to a whole list of receivers, including a receiver which posts to the Internet for all the world to see <http://groups.google.com/group/istagosthi>, these rascals will not respond. Another requirement is that you have to appear to make some error so that they can be drawn out of their cave (snake hole?) in order to pounce! Otherwise, they will simply ignore you.
As usual, the Sampradaya Sun gives no link to their quote in their unsigned email. For all we know, the quote might not even apply to the State of North Carolina.

Please note that the above link no longer says anything about "Padma, Inc." let alone "In process" because it was a clerical error, and, thanks to your calling the North Carolina Secretary of State's Office, it's been removed. The web page, before they corrected it, didn't make one iota of sense. Why couldn't the Sampradaya Sun, after several months and months of investigating ISKCON related corporate filings, figure out that it was an obvious mistake? Could it be that they are blinded by their self-motivated attempt to, by hook or by crook, find fault?
We have at least drawn them out of their cave (snake hole?) long enough for them to have revealed their true nature:
