    Have only these 2 photographs of Milusa tomentosa [ Saccopetalum tomentosum] to send you. The local name is Humb. The photographs were taken in the Borivali National Park, Bombay.

Could you confirm if this too is Milusa tomentosa ?
Shot at Kalpakkam,(Kancheepuram Distt.) Tamilnadu in April.

From the pictures posted by Dr. Neil as per Indiantreepix Database as below, I think it's some other plant due to difference in leaf arrangement, shape of the fruit etc.
Miliusa tomentosa (syn. Saccopetalum tomentosum) Annonaceae Humb
 in the Borivali National Park, Bombay.

       It is definitely not Milusa tomentosa [Saccopetalum tomentosa]. Would require a larger photograph to make a positive identification.

It is Linnaea coromandalica in fruits.  It is called woddiya maram in Tamil and a very common tree on Chennai roads.  It flowers during hot sun in a leafless  condition and wonderful to look at.  Unfortunately, the tree  is not liked because it does not provide any shade during the hot summer!
