If Confucianism were bad, how could the following have happened in
Taiwan...

Taiwan (Republic of China) has maintained the most authentic Confucian
society, and in 50 years, it has become a developed nation. Taiwan is

Not all teachings of Confucius is good.
Neither are all teachings of Confucius bad.
There are good and bad aspects of Confucius teachings.
China was leading in the early years because it has the
largest population. The question should be asked, why
did China lost out in the last 200 years to countries with
much smaller population.
Creativity and more effective ways of doing old things
has taken away the advantage of size and numbers.
Now China has learned the lesson to open its' borders
and is reclaiming its' leadership role.
To continue to move forward, China must open up the
minds of its' people. If China continue to close the
minds of its' populace, this resurgence will not last.
