In November, Karolina from Google replied to another post that there
was no way to automatically reinvest dividends in one's Google Finance
portfolio. Is there any plan to change this? All of my investments
have the dividends automatically reinvested. So my profile in Google
Finance is not accurate, and I still need to log in to my banking
websites to see my actual balances. It would be great if I could just
recreate all my investments completely and accurately in Google
Finance.

Hello everyone, thank you for reaching out. This feature is sadly still not available. Thank you for letting us know though, your feature requests do help us prioritize.

I would really like to see this too, using Google Finance for those with DRIP accounts is so much work constantly having to go in and manually adjust the portfolio numbers. This would be much more useful and more commonly used if this feature were available.
Thanks for the great work thus far!

So, are you guys entering $0 for the purchase cost of re-invested dividends, to make your cost base accurately reflect the fact that you paid nothing for the redistributed shares?

+1 on this feature. With this, it would be great if we could see gains vs the original investment and count the dividends as a gain rather than raising the investment amount.

Given Karolina's reply thanking us for this valuable feedback - evidently Nov. 2010 and again in Apr. 2012 (?) - its incredible that after sooooo many months this common sense feature - automatic dividend reinvestment - * STILL* isn't available in Sept. 2012. One has to begin to wonder how much user feedback matters to Google.

I completely agree. I have been searching for days for the best portfolio tracker and would gladly choose Google if I could just account for reinvested dividends.
