I asked the same question a month ago, Andrew said he was working on
it & he hoped to have it up & running within a month or two. The post
is here: http://groups.google.com/group/gaia-gps/browse_thread/thread/7520b923de33515b#

Maybe Andrew could give us an update on how this is coming along. I
know another person on that thread was interested too.

Greg, Arthur, and other Canadians,

Good news, next version we'll have the Canadian NRCAN topos. We set up Gaia to hit the national WMS directly, so it works now in testing, but is kind of slow. We'll push it to beta testing in the next day or two, and we should have the new version live within 3 weeks.

We could push the Canadian topos to your faster, but we are working on some other improvements that we want to bundle with the release. We have drag/drop GPX imports and sortable Saved stuff in beta right now. And the release will also include showing multiple tracks on the map, and maybe GaiaCloud. This will be a big one.

Regards,
Andrew

This is actually available now.

Just go to Settings->Help, and touch the top link to Add Topo Sources.

The top source is the Canadian source right now.

Hi Andrew,

Are they available in the Android version too? Those instructions
appear to be for the iPhone

Thanks,
Greg

Not quite yet - we don't have the same facility on Android for adding sources ad hoc.

We will include the source in the Android app by sometime next week.

I added the nrcan topos. I seem to be having an issue scrolling south past a certain point. Any ideas?

Oops, I fixed the bounds.

You'll need to add the source again, and then it'll show up twice in
the list, and the second one will work. Sorry about that, but in the
next version of Gaia you'll be able to delete map sources, and it'll
update the existing one instead of making another.

Hi Andrew,

Are these maps available in the Android version now? I don't see them
but maybe I need to update the application?

Thanks,
Greg

Not yet... sorry for the delay.

Shouldn't be more than a week or 2 now.

Hi Andrew,

Have you got a new ETA for the android version? If it's much longer
I'm going to have to move to another program.

Thanks,
Greg

Hey Greg,

Let me send you a copy of the latest version, which includes Canada maps, via email.

We are just about to ship it - just trying to test everything out thoroughly.

Regards,
Andrew
